Review
The entire album has the feel of a sunny day. Though the music is before my time, it isn’t hard to relate a bunch of feel good tunes.  Every time I hear the first track I can not help but crack a smile or laugh softly. Don’t think that I’m soft or anything, it’s just a really happy album. It’s not often that happy music actually makes people happy. Personally, I typically hate happy music, it makes me want to throw up, my idea of happy music from my generation was Aqua, and that was fucking shit.

Well, the entire album isn’t so much happy, there are a few ballads about love and all that suicidal stuff, but I mean, it’s just such a good album, I can’t even say anymore about it except for the fact that everyone needs to listen to it and learn to love it.

I’m sure we all remember when these guys came out and made it cool to be nerds, then when the baggy-jean culture arrived they were nowhere to be found. Well, this album brings me back to the days when I use to drink my soda pop with ice cream in it, so, I figured I’d write a review on it.

Ok well this album is about… umm highschool life. So it’s not about anything special, it’s not deep, and it’s not exactly groundbreaking, but it’s definitely not Good Charlotte. What makes this album so good, is the chemistry, it’s just effortless. You couldn’t even tell which song was a single without already knowing. Each song seems to compliment the next, and in the end you realize you like every single song. It’s just so rare that someone can feel so satisfied after listening to an album. So if you’ve ever been, or still are, in highschool, this album will be a lot of fun, or serious when it needs to be.

Even if you don’t like Weezer, or even if you don’t like rock, I still think you’ll find a way to appreciate this album, cause everyone else will, and one day when you’re at a bar and they play their song and some hot chick says, “I love this song, oh Weezer is like the cooooolest band”, and all you do is nod your head like a poser, you’ll think about this article and you’ll think about me. You odn’t want to do that. Get the album.

Review
2006 should be hip-hop’s revival, led by this Chicago native, Lupe Fiasco. Don’t get me wrong, in no means is he a 3.5 score rapper, his album just kind of stacked up to that. he’s more of 4.0-4.5 based on his incredible creativity of lyrics and wordplay. The rap industry has absolutely dropped the ball the past few years by investing all their time and money into club whore music, it’s real nice to see a debut album by a true MC. Most new acts on the scene lately have just been these one-hit wonders who say the same thing as some other dude, but just wear different coloured clothes.

But enough of that, the album itself, is good, but i feel like it could have been better. Lupe as an artist is great, I haven’t yet gotten to his mixtapes (which are highly recommended to me through a friend) but listening to the album about 5-6 times made me realize that this guy is actually something promising. He’s got great character and really diverse lyrics.

Forget about the score, if you like hip-hop, this is a must-hear album. I just couldn’t bring myself to give it any higher, maybe cause I was sickly disappointed with the track with Jay.

Review
Double album? Haven’t people learned yet? The industry seems to think that if you release an album that has 2 CD’s it is suppose to make it better, well really, it doesn’t. These stupid double albums are just putting on tracks that were never suppose to make the album anyways. Sure, we’d love to hear more of our favourite bands and artists, but sometimes it’s the wait and the patience that make the next song that much ebtter to listen to.

It’s hard for me to know where to start with this album, but I tihnk the most noticable problem with the album is Anthony Kiedis. I love the guy, but his age is really starting to show. It’s just really noticeable when the band still tries to get ‘funky’, yeah, that shit was cool when you were on drugs, but it just doesn’t have the same effect anymore. The Peppers’ sound has matured a lot over the past 2 decades, and I think they should keep growing. We all appreciate their funk tracks, but that was a different time.

Double the tracks, double the dissappointment, if they just condensed the album to all their ballads, I probaly would’ve scored this album as much as a 4.
