I don’t think fans of mystery or Jake Gyllenhaal will be satisfied. Well, essentially put, there is too much going on in the movie. Too much story telling, the first half of the movie essentially explains this unsolved mystery that we all knew was unsolved, and the second half of the movie enforces the first half of the movie. At this point I’m sickly restless and I just want a cigarette.

Now, I just want to fuck all the non-smokers with my shoe so that we can get our smoking rights back. I mean 20 years ago we use to able to smoke in theaters! Now we can’t smoke anywhere. What was wrong with the smoking rooms in bars? I mean, fucking hard working people had to put out so much money to be convenient for the non-smokers, and then they get fucked after a few years cause now we gotta smoke outside anyways? I understand there is a health concern, but it’s cold in the winter. I guess we all have a greater risk of catching pneumonia because we suffer the disease of smoking. I tihnk smoking is the disease. Not cancer of any other lung complication, it’s smoking, the root of it. Kind of like what HIV is for AIDS. I mean fuck all, if alcoholism is a disease, why isn’t smoking?

Anyways, as you can see I don’t care about Zodiac, watch it if you’re interested, that’s what I did. Downey jr. gives a great performance though. What kind of pissed me off was the Mark Ruffalo had this whole New York cop attitude even though the movie takes place in Los Angeles.

300 is like having sex with an ugly girl with big breasts, you enjoy some of it, but really can’t stand the rest. You take what’s good from the bad.

Arguably the best jock movie in years. No, they didn’t play any sports, but all the substance and moral values the dialog tries to share with it’s audience speaks of nothing more then win at all cost, fuck all the doubters and never give up. All I could think of after the movie was renewing my gym membership and maybe taking up some kind of martial arts.

This picture was really really stupid, but I mean, you had to have known that, right? Anyhow, it was worth the $10 ticket price though, in many ways this was probably one of the more entertaining movies I’ve seen in theaters this year. It wasn’t well done in any way, the acting was shit, but the violence and ambiguously strange characters made me laugh, and that’s what really counts. The movie made for a great drinking conversation aferwards and I think I’d still watch the movie again with my friends just to laugh about it.

So in conclusion, 300 sucks as much as it was good.

Review
The entire album has the feel of a sunny day. Though the music is before my time, it isn’t hard to relate a bunch of feel good tunes.  Every time I hear the first track I can not help but crack a smile or laugh softly. Don’t think that I’m soft or anything, it’s just a really happy album. It’s not often that happy music actually makes people happy. Personally, I typically hate happy music, it makes me want to throw up, my idea of happy music from my generation was Aqua, and that was fucking shit.

Well, the entire album isn’t so much happy, there are a few ballads about love and all that suicidal stuff, but I mean, it’s just such a good album, I can’t even say anymore about it except for the fact that everyone needs to listen to it and learn to love it.

I’m sure we all remember when these guys came out and made it cool to be nerds, then when the baggy-jean culture arrived they were nowhere to be found. Well, this album brings me back to the days when I use to drink my soda pop with ice cream in it, so, I figured I’d write a review on it.

Ok well this album is about… umm highschool life. So it’s not about anything special, it’s not deep, and it’s not exactly groundbreaking, but it’s definitely not Good Charlotte. What makes this album so good, is the chemistry, it’s just effortless. You couldn’t even tell which song was a single without already knowing. Each song seems to compliment the next, and in the end you realize you like every single song. It’s just so rare that someone can feel so satisfied after listening to an album. So if you’ve ever been, or still are, in highschool, this album will be a lot of fun, or serious when it needs to be.

Even if you don’t like Weezer, or even if you don’t like rock, I still think you’ll find a way to appreciate this album, cause everyone else will, and one day when you’re at a bar and they play their song and some hot chick says, “I love this song, oh Weezer is like the cooooolest band”, and all you do is nod your head like a poser, you’ll think about this article and you’ll think about me. You odn’t want to do that. Get the album.

The only people who wouldn’t like this movie are the perfect people. Perfect people don’t have to like a lot of things because everything likes them. But realistically, Little Miss Sunshine finds the most touching way to remind each and every one of us that we’re not perfect, but still we are all lovable in our own strange little ways. How can you not want to watch this movie now? Not only is it movie warm, but it’s hilarious, fucking hilarious. I know the movie doesn’t seem like much when you watch the trailer, and I know it’s not easy for a lot of people to watch movies they’ve heard little or nothing about., but now you’ve heard something.

Though this movie might sound friendly, this movie is rated R, no there’s no tits in it, well, if you look hard enough maybe, but this movie’s got loads of swearing. It’s no worse then a high school cafeteria, but I guess if you’re Ned Flanders you might want to tihnk twice about this one. I think it’s some what tasteful when they swear, the movie just wouldn’t be the same without all the rude remarks.

I highly recommend this movie to everyone with a heart. I know it’s hard to get yourself to watch this kind of thing if your favourite movie is Scarface, but bring your girlfriend along or something, or if you’re a girl, just tell your boyfriend there’s tits in the movie. Just do whatever you can and watch the damn thing.

2006 should be hip-hop’s revival, led by this Chicago native, Lupe Fiasco. Don’t get me wrong, in no means is he a 3.5 score rapper, his album just kind of stacked up to that. he’s more of 4.0-4.5 based on his incredible creativity of lyrics and wordplay. The rap industry has absolutely dropped the ball the past few years by investing all their time and money into club whore music, it’s real nice to see a debut album by a true MC. Most new acts on the scene lately have just been these one-hit wonders who say the same thing as some other dude, but just wear different coloured clothes.

But enough of that, the album itself, is good, but i feel like it could have been better. Lupe as an artist is great, I haven’t yet gotten to his mixtapes (which are highly recommended to me through a friend) but listening to the album about 5-6 times made me realize that this guy is actually something promising. He’s got great character and really diverse lyrics.

Forget about the score, if you like hip-hop, this is a must-hear album. I just couldn’t bring myself to give it any higher, maybe cause I was sickly disappointed with the track with Jay.

Review
Anyone who tells you that there is no point in watching this movie because they have already seen the chinese movie (Infernal Affair), is an idiot. Though based on the Hong Kong blockbuster, Scorsese manages to bring out a totally different feel to the Boston-set copper. However, this review is not a comparison of movies, so I will cut to the point. The Departed, is the next great Scorsese film. It is filled with great actors and yes, great acting, most particularly from Leonardo DiCaprio. Scorsese has the reputatation of getting actors the Oscar nod, and he just might be able to do it again this time around, not to mention maybe even get himself one. Unfortunately, Scorsese usually gets shut out by an actor-turned-director at the Academy Awards, so it’ll be interesting to see how long-time friend, Robert Deniro’s film (The Good Sheppard) stacks up against his. Though this movie is great, it is not perfect. There are a few flaws and unanswered questions, so be prepared for that. Some of the flaws are in the mood of some scenes where it just feels like the actor is down playing their characters a bit too much, but it’s hardly noticeable until you tihk about it after.

Anyways, the content in the movie. Lots of violence, if you can’t dig it, then don’t watch it. It ain’t gorey, but it ain’t cute. Everything else flies under the whole copper genre, drugs, money, stippers, etc. There’s obviously going to be lots of copper-lingo, so make sure you can follow the conversations well, it’s not very complicated in this movie, but if you have ADD, then I’d suggest you go watch Alice in Wonderland instead.

This is likely going to be the best movie I’ll see this year, and it’s not because I’m not going to watch any other movies, but I do feel very strongly about this movie, as I do with all Scrosese movies. So if you tihnk I’m bias towards his movies, which all my friends think I am, then maybe you should try another review.

Review
Double album? Haven’t people learned yet? The industry seems to think that if you release an album that has 2 CD’s it is suppose to make it better, well really, it doesn’t. These stupid double albums are just putting on tracks that were never suppose to make the album anyways. Sure, we’d love to hear more of our favourite bands and artists, but sometimes it’s the wait and the patience that make the next song that much ebtter to listen to.

It’s hard for me to know where to start with this album, but I tihnk the most noticable problem with the album is Anthony Kiedis. I love the guy, but his age is really starting to show. It’s just really noticeable when the band still tries to get ‘funky’, yeah, that shit was cool when you were on drugs, but it just doesn’t have the same effect anymore. The Peppers’ sound has matured a lot over the past 2 decades, and I think they should keep growing. We all appreciate their funk tracks, but that was a different time.

Double the tracks, double the dissappointment, if they just condensed the album to all their ballads, I probaly would’ve scored this album as much as a 4.
